Production Manager

As a Production Manager for Solar Structures in the Solar Energy/Renewable Energy industry, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing unit located in Karnal, Haryana. Your primary focus will be to ensure the timely delivery of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will lead and supervise all production activities on the shop floor, overseeing job placement, material flow, and stage-wise movement during fabrication and assembly processes. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing layout plans for new projects, updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), managing in-process inventory, and collaborating with R&D and design teams for the successful onboarding of new products. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring production costs, resource utilization, and adherence to predefined budget and timeline goals. Your role will also involve enforcing compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards, driving lean manufacturing practices, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring strict adherence to quality benchmarks and industry certifications specific to solar structure manufacturing. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related metal fabrication industry. You should possess proficiency in managing production machinery, tooling, and quality control processes, along with a solid understanding of solar mounting structures and associated fabrication methods. Familiarity with ISO standards, quality management systems, ERP systems, MS Excel, and production planning tools will be advantageous. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage shop floor teams and workflows effectively are essential for this position.
