Production Manager (Medical Devices)

Role focus

In-house assembly & integration of medical devices with most parts/processes outsourced. Ensure smooth coordination, quality compliance, and timely delivery.    

Qualification

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ B.Sc Electronics/ Physics.
• 12 to 15 years’ production/assembly experience (medical devices or regulated industry preferred).    

Desired profile of the candidate

• Hands-on experience in vendor coordination and outsourced manufacturing.
• Familiar with ISO 13485 / quality systems.
• Strong planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills.      

Major Job Responsibilities for the position

• Plan and manage monthly production schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for the timely receipt of outsourced components and sub-assemblies.
• Oversee assembly and integration operations, ensuring accuracy and minimal rework.
• Work with the regulatory and quality team to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 / regulatory requirements.
• Maintain production documentation, work instructions, and traceability records.
• Supervise and train production staff; allocate manpower effectively.
• Monitor and improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and support cost control.
• Ensure workplace safety and discipline on the shop floor.

• Compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
