Production Manager

The Incumbent will be responsible for-

Oversee and manage all aspects of production operations at our lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Operations

• Plan, manage, and control daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets (volume, quality, and cost).
• Oversee key process areas: mixing, coating, calendaring, slitting, cell assembly (stacking/winding), electrolyte filling, formation, and packaging.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process controls.

2. Team Management

• Lead, train, and manage production supervisors, technicians, and line operators.
• Develop manpower plans and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce strict safety protocols related to hazardous materials (e.g., lithium, electrolytes, solvents).
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all local and international HSE regulations.

4. Continuous Improvement

• Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap rate, downtime) and lead root cause analyses for deviations.
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives where applicable.

5. Maintenance & Equipment

• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Recommend equipment upgrades and technology adoption for capacity expansion or process improvement.
