Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Production Management:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor production processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Implement and enforce production procedures and quality control measures.

2. Quality Control:

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality improvements.

3. Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage factory staff, including production workers, supervisors, and technical staff.
  • Conduct training and development programs to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Handle employee performance evaluations and address any staffing issues.

4. Resource Management:

  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain management to ensure timely availability of materials.

5. Process Improvement:

  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to support decision-making.

6. Cost Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization across operations, procurement, and resource allocation.
  • Control costs and manage the factory budget effectively.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce operational expenses without compromising service quality.

7. Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with merchandising teams to align production.
  • Maintain effective communication channels within the factory and with external stakeholders. Address and resolve any production-related issues promptly.

8. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory, and quality control.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Extensive experience in garment manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing factory operations.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in factory management software and other relevant tools.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
