Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Production & Scheduling:

  Oversee all daily production activities to ensure that production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery goals are met.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  Lead, manage, and mentor a team of production supervisors, CNC machinists, assemblers, and operators. Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management.

• Process Improvement (Lean):

  Champion a culture of continuous improvement. Implement and sustain

  Lean Manufacturing

  principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping) to reduce waste, minimize scrap, and improve workflow.

• Quality Assurance:

  Collaborate closely with the Quality department to ensure all products (fittings, valves, etc.) meet strict internal and industry specifications (e.g., ASME, API). Uphold a "zero-defect" mindset.

• Health & Safety (HSE):

  Enforce and promote a robust "safety-first" culture. Ensure all operations are in strict compliance with OSHA and all company safety policies.

• Resource Management:

  Manage production budgets, control manufacturing costs, and optimize the use of labor, materials, and equipment.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  Coordinate with the Maintenance department to implement a

  Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

  program, minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

• ERP/MRP Systems:

  Utilize the company's ERP system for production planning, scheduling, inventory tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Preferred candidate profile

• Industry-Specific Experience:

  Direct experience in manufacturing

  valves, pipe fittings, or fluid power components

  is highly preferred.

• Testing:

  Knowledge of

  pressure testing

  (hydro-testing, pneumatic testing) for valves and fittings.

• Quality Standards:

  Familiarity with industry codes like

  ASME

  and

  API

  .

• Certifications:

  Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.

• Processes:

  Experience with forging, casting, or heat treatment processes.
