Production Manager / Engineer

We are a Product Design Studio in Gurgaon seeking a Production Manager to head our production and fabrication unit (dealing mainly in Stainless steel and other metals like MS, brass, copper).

We have a team of 20 people in the fabrication unit. Large bespoke items are designed and made. No mass production, hence each project is different.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Oversee all the operations and manpower of the unit.
• Supervise metal and wood fabrication processes, including Stainless Steel, Mild Steel (MS), Aluminum, Brass, and Copper.
• Ensure quality control in welding, polishing, lathe operations, fitting, and other fabrication techniques.
• Collaborate with the design team to optimize product designs.
• Oversee material procurement and outsourcing while maintaining quality standards.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and ensure seamless operations.
• Make flow chart for efficient production
• Handle workers.
• Give relevant inputs of new technology, machines and workers.

Requirements:

• Should have good knowledge of working with metal especially stainless steel
• Should understand and have working experience / knowledge of processes like welding, buffing, lathe, polishiong, rolling, casting, laser cutting, etching, etc.
• Should have some knowledge of wood/ply/board (as these are used to make moulds, packaging, componenets etc)
• Should have experience of leading and handling a team
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fabrication and production supervision.
• Preferably a Mechanical / structural engineer
