Production Manager / Engineer

You will be joining a Product Design Studio in Gurgaon as a Production Manager, responsible for leading the production and fabrication unit specializing in Stainless steel and other metals like MS, brass, and copper. The unit comprises a team of 20 individuals focused on crafting large bespoke items, ensuring that each project is unique and not mass-produced. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and oversee all operations and manpower within the fabrication unit. - Supervise metal and wood fabrication processes, encompassing Stainless Steel, Mild Steel (MS), Aluminum, Brass, and Copper. - Ensure quality control across welding, polishing, lathe operations, fitting, and other fabrication techniques. - Collaborate closely with the design team to enhance product designs. - Manage material procurement and outsourcing while upholding quality standards. - Address production challenges effectively to maintain seamless operations. - Develop flow charts for efficient production processes. - Manage and provide guidance to workers. - Offer insights on new technology, machinery, and workforce as relevant to the production unit. **Requirements:** - Proficiency in metalwork, particularly with stainless steel. - Knowledge and experience in processes such as welding, buffing, lathe operations, polishing, rolling, casting, laser cutting, etching, etc. - Familiarity with wood/ply/board applications for making molds, packaging, components, etc. - Previous experience in leading and managing a team effectively. - Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques. - Excellent English communication skills. - Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities. - Minimum 10 years of experience in fabrication and production supervision. - Ideally a background in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
