As the Production Head in the CRGO Industry, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing all production activities within the manufacturing unit. Your expertise in steel manufacturing processes, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives will be crucial for ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Production Planning & Control:** - Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company goals. - Ensure adherence to production schedules while optimizing the capacity of production equipment. - Monitor production processes to maintain quality and efficiency. - **Team Leadership & Supervision:** - Lead, mentor, and manage production teams (operators, technicians, etc.). - Ensure safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed. - Foster a collaborative environment to encourage teamwork and continuous improvement. - **Quality Management:** - Oversee quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure CRGO products meet required specifications. - Implement corrective actions for any deviations from quality standards. - Conduct regular audits and inspections of production units. - **Equipment Maintenance & Optimization:** - Ensure proper maintenance of production machinery. - Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and address equipment failures. - Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process optimization. - **Cost Management:** - Control production costs by optimizing resource utilization. - Analyze production data to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Develop budgets for the production unit and track financial performance. - **Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):** - Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety guidelines. - Promote a culture of safety and lead initiatives to reduce workplace accidents and environmental impact. - **Inventory and Material Management:** - Manage raw material inventory to avoid production delays or shortages. - Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials. - Oversee the efficient storage and handling of finished products. - **Reporting & Documentation:** - Generate regular reports on production progress, efficiency, quality metrics, and any issues that need resolution. - Maintain detailed records for traceability and compliance with industry standards. - Present key production updates and performance metrics to senior management. - **Continuous Improvement:** - Lead initiatives to improve production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. - Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and process innovations. **Qualifications Required:** - **Educational Background:** - A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus. - **Experience:** - Minimum of 10 years in a production management role in the steel or manufacturing industry, with at least 7+ years in a leadership position in CRGO production.
