Production Engineer

The duties and responsibilities of this role include executing the production plan by preparing and exchanging batches as per the schedule, communicating with shift leaders for smooth shift transitions, allocating tasks within the shift, planning and executing fixture maintenance, ensuring processes adhere to standards like QMS, EMS, and internal operation standards. Additionally, the role involves performing preventive maintenance on various equipment such as coaters, cleaning machines, blasting machines, and stripping equipment. Identifying the training needs of shift team members, conducting and evaluating training sessions, and informing the Plant Manager about training requirements beyond the scope are also part of the responsibilities. Communication with service and plant managers in case of machine troubles or errors, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and implementing HSE, 5S, and OOE practices are crucial aspects. Stock management, coordination for consumables and spares, overseeing failures, implementing preventive and corrective actions for internal and external complaints, blocking non-conforming equipment and parts, and following applicable QMS requirements are also key responsibilities. The required education and experience for this role include a university degree or diploma in science/engineering, a minimum of 2 years of experience as a shift lead or engineer in the mechanical/service industry, and knowledge of PVD/CVD coating technology is recommended.
