Production Engineer, Injection Molding

Job Purpose:

To supervise and manage day-to-day injection molding operations, ensuring high-quality automotive components are produced efficiently, safely, and within defined specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily production activities of the injection molding machines.
• Ensure optimum machine utilization, cycle time adherence, and minimal downtime.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
• Coordinate with the tool room for mold maintenance and changeovers.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and safety regulations.
• Maintain production reports, shift logs, and production efficiency metrics.
• Train and supervise operators and technicians on process best practices.
• Coordinate with planning, quality, and maintenance departments for smooth operations.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing practices in the shop floor.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of injection molding process and machines (e.g., Haitian, Toshiba, Engel).
• Understanding of mold design, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with automobile quality systems like IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP.
• Good communication, leadership, and team management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in injection molding in the automotive sector.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
