Production Engineer

QualificationRole & responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on PMC work orders and actual shop conditions.
• Allocate manpower, machines, tools, and equipment efficiently to meet delivery timelines.
• Monitor real-time production; escalate major abnormalities promptly and collaborate with ME, PRJ, QA, IE teams to resolve issues.
• Actively engage in lean production activities such as Finishmark, SGA, IKW, and enhance OEE & UPH.
• Improve process utilization rate, reduce scrap, and eliminate customer complaints.

2. Site & Process Management

• Standardize shop floor activities through SOPs, WI, and testing procedures.
• Promote and manage 5S & 3R workplace practices; control operator discipline and execution.
• Conduct regular 5S audits with implementation of rewards/punishments.
• Investigate and eliminate hidden safety and process risks (e.g., CTR/CTS).
• Analyze workshop cost consumption and introduce cost control methods.

3. Safety Control

• Enhance employee safety awareness and ensure equipment is operated as per regulations.
• Implement a robust safety inspection mechanism to prevent accidents
• Ensure compliance with company safety requirements and product safety standards

4. Team Building & Culture Development

• Conduct employee training on SOPs, job knowledge, and safety practices.
• Develop and mentor high-potential team members through development plans and regular coaching.
• Promote company values and implement employee care initiatives.
• Optimize the subordinate selection and promotion mechanism.

5. Data Accuracy & Inventory Management

• Ensure the accuracy of all production-related reports and inventory records.
• Minimize sluggish or overdue inventory through regular review and control measures.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications (Mandatory):

• Education:

  B.Tech (Must)

• Experience:

  Minimum 4+ years

• Language:

  Fluent English communication is a must

Skills Required:

Man:

• Labor & contractor management
• Shop floor supervision

Machine:

• Knowledge of machinery, electricals, fool-proofing, and process improvement
• Proficiency in computers and production software

Method:

• Report preparation (Plan vs Actual), SOP/WI implementation
• 5S & 3R execution
• Strong command of: FMEA, 8D, TPM, PDCA, Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Kaizen, 7 QC tools, FIFO, RCA, CAPA
• Abnormal handling techniques
