Job Description

As a Production Engineer at the Furniture Manufacturing Company, your role involves managing daily shift activities to achieve the rated output and production efficiency while minimizing losses at all levels. You will be responsible for implementing safety systems, deploying and managing manpower during the shift, conducting project studies, and preparing BOM cutting lists for production planning. Additionally, you will be involved in creating AutoCAD drawings for production processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop production schedules based on customer demand and production capacity - Prioritize orders to ensure timely delivery of furniture products - Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials - Oversee inventory levels to prevent stock outs or excess inventory - Implement quality control procedures to maintain high-quality standards - Conduct inspections at various production stages to address quality issues - Supervise welding and fabrication processes for steel furniture manufacturing - Ensure welding techniques adhere to industry standards and product specifications - Oversee machinery operation and maintenance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols - Manage assembly of steel furniture components and finishing processes like painting - Lead and motivate production teams, assign tasks, and provide training for efficient and safe operations - Enforce safety procedures and regulations to create a safe working environment - Identify opportunities to optimize production processes and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards - Maintain production records, quality inspection records, and inventory logs - Provide regular reports to management on production performance and efficiency - Identify training needs for production staff and organize training programs - Enhance skills and knowledge in steel furniture manufacturing techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards Qualifications Required: - Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred - 1-3 years of experience in a similar role - Proficiency in MS Office - Ability to work full-time at the company's location Please note that this job description is for a full-time position requiring in-person work at the company's location.
