Production and Stores Executive

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Understand and evaluate requirements for projects, factory and office consumables and procurements. 2. Source and evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts 3. Issue purchase orders and maintain procurement records. 4. Track inventory levels and restock supplies as needed. 5. Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of purchased items. 6. Coordinate with finance and warehouse departments. 7. Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings. 8. Should be able to understand engineering drawings and should be able to evaluate vendors and quality of the items purchased. Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes and best practices. Familiarity with sourcing, vendor evaluation, and purchase order systems. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills to get favorable terms from vendors. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze supplier proposals and cost structures. ERP & Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel). Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally). Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in records, contracts and procurement quality. Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
