Originates, develops and executes the most complex technical projects and influences future technology and product strategy. Responsible to set product RM features to meet product strategy and DOW. Focusing on technical challenges that may not have an identified solution by customer, competitors or within industry (Customer HVPs). Influences the strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues. Works on critical complex issues that impact longer term product development and business success. Originate, design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on unusually complex engineering experiments and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Recommend on decisions that impact major product development programs and business success at the division/segment level. As a technical role model to Applied' s technical and engineering community, this position acts as a mentor to guide less experienced engineers. Typically, is involved in judging the approach and verifying the validity of technical strategies. Deep subject matter expert who consults with management and customers on exceptionally complex technical issues.
