Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced UAV Product Manager to own the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of UAV propulsion product line. This role requires a unique blend of technical depth, market awareness, and business acumen to drive adoption in commercial drone ecosystems and defense UAV programs. You will partner closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure delivers innovative, scalable, and mission-ready solutions.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for UAV propulsion systems across commercial and defense sectors.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscapes.
  • Build business cases, pricing strategies, and market-entry plans for global UAV markets.

Product Development & Lifecycle

  • Translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and priorities.
  • Guide engineering and R&D teams to deliver solutions optimized for both commercial UAV payload efficiency and defense mission reliability.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from prototype through production and sustainment.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Act as the voice of the customer for UAV OEMs, fleet operators, defense contractors, and government stakeholders.
  • Support the sales team in pre-sales engagements, demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Represent the client at industry events, defense expos, and UAV technology forums.

Operational Alignment

  • Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure scalable, cost-effective production.
  • Define and monitor KPIs including adoption rates, reliability metrics, and profitability.
  • Provide product training and documentation for sales, marketing, and customer support teams.

Profile description:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 12+ years of product management experience, with UAV, aerospace, or defense sector exposure required.
  • Strong understanding of propulsion technologies: electric motors, generators, power electronics, or hybrid energy systems.
  • Experience in commercial UAV markets (delivery, surveying, inspection, agriculture) and/or defense UAV programs (ISR, tactical, logistics support).
  • Demonstrated success in bringing complex hardware and integrated systems to market.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
