Job Description

Role : Technical Product Manager Telecom BSS/OSS

Job Summary:

To play a critical role in shaping the product roadmap for a new AI platform targeted at Tier-1 telecom operators.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with field sales and engineering teams to define and drive product success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for a new AI platform to be deployed within telecom environments.
  • Define and drive the product feature and functionality roadmap in collaboration with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams.
  • Work closely with field sales teams to gather market insights, validate customer requirements, and align the product vision with telecom business goals.
  • Act as the bridge between engineering and field sales organisation, ensuring timely, accurate, and scalable delivery of platform features.
  • Translate complex telecom use cases (BSS/OSS) into intelligent, AI-powered capabilities, such as customer experience optimization, service orchestration/ fulfillment and network automation.

  • Integrate Agentic AI features (e.g., autonomous agents, self-learning workflows, intelligent recommendations) to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Ensure alignment with TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) principles and implement TMF Open APIs to support modular, standards-based integrations.
  • Support go-to-market efforts with product positioning, field enablement, solution demos, and technical documentation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1518 years of total industry experience, with 8–10 years in telecom BSS/OSS product management or solution architecture.

  • Strong functional knowledge of telecom domains including customer onboarding, CRM, order management, billing, Inventory and service assurance.

  • Deep experience with at least one major CRM platform: Oracle Siebel, Amdocs, Netcracker, or Salesforce (Telco Cloud).

  • Proven track record in creating PRDs, product strategy documents, and feature specifications in enterprise telecom environments.
  • Good to have

    Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML concepts, especially Agentic AI, and their practical application in telecom workflows.
  • Experience with microservices-based architecture, TMF ODA, and Open APIs.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) and DevOps pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Tier-1 telecom operators or global system integrators.

  • Certifications in TM Forum, Product Management, or CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, public cloud platforms).
