- To provide inputs to the engineering team for on-board micro-controllers,including parameters to be monitored, optimization and remote monitoring andcontrols. Give techno commercial
- To assess and propose solution offering of Master controllers, PLC, SCADA,DCS, IOT for compressed air installations
- Identify stated needs and unstated wants of controls architecture anddata analytics requirements of overall compressed air installation.
- Initiate and drive product development based on product strategy and newopportunities identified.
- Provide support to the sales team by launching new products and improvingexisting products with Compelling Value Propositions (C-VAP) for the endcustomers to successfully position ELGis products in the market.
- Be the global expert for products that are assigned to manage. Understanding of developments happening in controls and instrumentation space (the art of possible)
- Role needs understandingof electrical subsystems, circuits and basic programming languages with Electricaland Electronics background. Understanding of sensors, controls, systems, on-boardcontrollers, connectivity protocols, IOT, AI enabled solutions. and associatedregulations.
Job Responsibility :
- For the portfolio of controls and instrumentation for compressors andaccessories, d evelopa product roadmap, to initiate new products and improve existing products toget ahead of the competition, address product range gaps (if any), and ensuresustained competitiveness of the product portfolio.
- Capture Voice of Customer (VoC), competitionbenchmarking and work with relevant stakeholders to develop effective product specifications.
- Determine target product positioning and pricing.
- Prioritize products based on business objectives.
Develop business case with business potential, RoI,value proposition, and business revenue targets to obtain approval for productdevelopment
- Facilitate availability of technical documents,product specifications, GA Electrical Drawings, and OM manual for thenew product launches for the controls and IOT scope
- Prepare sales documents; catalogs, productflyers, pitch documents (ELGi vs Competition), and online sales tools to enablesales teams to win business.
- Support the product training team and preparetraining content and collateral for newly developed products.
- Support the marketing communications team withproduct value proposition and ensure it is effectively communicated anddelivered to customers.
Work with internal stakeholders to support otherproduct teams for proper on time launch of a new product
Job Role Expectation :
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Electrical/Electronics. MBA in marketing/sales preferred.
- Mid-level; 7-10years of experience in product management, sales or engineering of industrialproducts or experience in product development with exposure to sales andmarketing. Strongmarket and business acumen
- Ability toanalyze and provide data-driven decisions, Strategic thinking Strong people skills
- Working knowledge of on-board controllers, micro-controllers, PLC, master controllers, SCADA, DCS, IOT solutions compressors and accessories or any industrial machinery and their applications.
- Understanding of electrical sub systems.
- Experience in managing product lifecycle.
- Experience in engineering, business development and sales/data analysis on market or competition
