Product Development Manager

You will be responsible for leading the full product development process for fine jewellery collections. This includes working closely with design and merchandising teams to create new seasonal jewellery lines that align with current trends and the brand's style. You will be in charge of managing sampling, prototypes, and final product approvals while ensuring quality, cost, and deadlines are met. Effective coordination with CAD, production, and quality control teams will be crucial. Additionally, maintaining technical files, costing sheets, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to review product performance and propose improvements or new ideas. Managing the product development calendar to meet deadlines will be essential. Qualifications required for this role include a degree or diploma in Jewellery Design, Product Development, or Mechanical Engineering. You should have at least 8-10 years of experience in the jewellery industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial product development position. A strong understanding of jewellery design, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing processes is necessary, along with knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and current jewellery trends. Proficiency in Rhino, Matrix, CorelDRAW, Excel, and ERP software is preferred. Excellent project management skills, organizational abilities, and clear communication are vital. The ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously is also required.,
