Job Description

Job Title: Engineer – Product Development Location: Chennai Reporting To: Manager – Product Development Educational Qualification: ● Post Diploma in Plastic Moulding and Technology (CIPET) ● B.E./B.Tech in Plastic or Polymer Technology ● B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience: ● 2 to 5 years in Product Development ● Preferred Industry: Toys, Automobile, Medical Devices, Plastics Key Skills & Competencies: ● Strong experience in complete product costing (not limited to component costing) ● Proficiency in design software like Pro-E (Creo) ● Exposure to New Product Development (NPD) processes ● Experience in Project Execution and Management ● Familiarity with Assembly and Decoration Processes ● Advantageous to have experience in the Toy Industry Job Responsibilities: ● Estimate and manage the costing for new complete products ● Participate in end-to-end new product development lifecycle ● Execute new product and project launch activities ● Coordinate and optimize assembly and decoration processes ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and manufacturing ● Ensure timely delivery of product development milestones Preferred Attributes: ● Candidates from CIPET or reputed institutions ● Strong analytical and communication skills ● Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment Show more Show less
