Product Development Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

· Support the mechanical design of new products from concept to launch.

· Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using Solid works.

· Develop prototypes and conduct functional tests to validate design concepts.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, industrial design, and manufacturing.

· Evaluate materials, manufacturing methods, and cost implications during the design process.

· Support design reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments.

· Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure design intent is preserved during fabrication.

· Maintain documentation according to engineering change control and regulatory standards.

· Continuously improve design processes and contribute to IP generation.

Required skills and qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· 6+ years of experience in product development or a similar role.

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and cost optimization techniques.

· Familiarity with market research techniques and consumer behavior in the Indian market.

· Proficiency in product design software and tools.

· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to priorities tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· A creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to adapt to the company’s culture effectively and lead other teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
