Product Developer

As a Product Developer at the company, you will be responsible for closely following the latest trends in your field and adapting them for application within your job and the business. You will be part of a small team of experts and will need excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, especially at a senior level. Your role will also require developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in different departments and occasional external customers. You will be accountable for significant direct business results and will have a degree of responsibility over technical strategy, primarily affecting a sub-function. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling staff management issues, such as resource management and allocation of work within the team or project. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with Sales, Traders, Business Managers to identify Market Trends and Regulatory Landscape, create a product vision roadmap, and collaborate with Technology to deliver the roadmap - Manage all activities related to creating new products or enhancing existing ones, including developing business cases, requirements, scoping product releases, tracking business priorities, and incorporating regulatory and compliance requirements - Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, scope product releases, track business priorities, and incorporate regulatory and compliance requirements - Conceptualize, plan, prioritize, coordinate design and delivery of products or features to product release, and act as a product ambassador within the user community - Deliver significant direct business results and oversee product development with responsibility over technical strategy - Partner with senior business leaders and a global user community to define and implement solutions - Focus on controls and governance, including security and access reviews, access approvals, controls testing, and documentation - Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery **Qualifications:** - 10+ years of experience - Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinking skills - Proven experience in a similar role in a financial institution with a track record of bringing diverse groups together towards a common goal - Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and excellent analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills - Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with senior members of an organization - Self-awareness, adaptability, ability to assimilate complex information, and create a future vision - Good understanding of Rates products and dynamics of Rates trading, knowledge of pricing, risk, and valuation of swaps and bonds is a plus - Financial acumen and P&L management experience - Ability to write Excel macros and familiarity with SQL & Python is a plus **Education:** - Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred This job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed.
