Product Design Executive / Intern – Furniture Design

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Product Design Executive / Intern – Furniture Design, based in Ludhiana.

The role involves creating innovative furniture designs, researching global trends, and applying design thinking to develop functional and visually appealing products. The individual will work closely with production and R&D teams to ensure design feasibility, cost efficiency, and alignment with GEBE’s quality standards.

This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to global product design practices, modern materials, and fabrication techniques, while contributing to the growth of the brand’s indoor and outdoor furniture range.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Product Design and Visual Design principles
• Hands-on experience with 3D Design Software: Rhino, KeyShot, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360
• Understanding of Design Thinking and User-Centered Design
• Knowledge of furniture materials (aluminum, rope, wicker, teak, etc.) and ergonomics
• Strong skills in user research, trend analysis, and product storytelling
• Excellent communication, detailing, and teamwork abilities
• Degree or ongoing studies in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or related field
• Passion for innovative, sustainable, and market-relevant design
• Willingness to work on-site in Ludhiana for a minimum 2-year term

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models, renderings, and technical drawings for new furniture products
• Support concept creation, material selection, and prototype development
• Research global furniture trends, finishes, and technologies
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams for sampling and final product execution
• Maintain accurate design documentation, material lists, and design archives
• Contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions for new collections
• Ensure product designs reflect GEBE’s brand aesthetics and global benchmarks
