Procurement Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• Review and validate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) received from internal departments.
• Coordinate with business partners during night shift hours for clarifications and approvals.
• Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time in the ERP system.
• Follow up proactively with approvers to avoid delays in the procurement cycle.
• Communicate with vendors for quotations, price confirmation, delivery schedules, and order status.
• Maintain accurate documentation of PRs, POs, quotations, and approval records.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and workflow requirements.
• Monitor open PRs and POs and escalate issues as needed.
• Support vendor performance tracking and cost optimization activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• 13 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement operations.
• Strong understanding of PR (Purchase Requisition) and PO (Purchase Order) processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, etc.).
• Must be comfortable working night shift (US or global time zone).
• Strong communication skills, especially in email and follow-up coordination.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
