Bridgestone is a leading supplier to key OEMs in India. The pan India retail network (aftermarket sales) consists of 4000+ dealers of Passenger Radials, Truck and Bus Radials and Off-the-road tyres.

Job Purpose –

To manage end-to-end procurement and contract management activities, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across sourcing, vendor coordination, and contract execution. The role supports digital transformation initiatives and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Finance, and End Users to drive timely, efficient, and value-driven procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities in detail –

• Lead a team & make strategy for tactical team.
• Keeping an eye on category performance indicators like the time it takes to convert purchase orders, adherence to quotations, cost savings, supplier delivery performance, and monitoring spending under contracts, especially emergency purchases.
• Conducting regular sessions with internal stakeholders to grasp insights into upcoming major projects, high-value items/services purchases, and assign appropriate buyers from the project incubation phase.
• Leading reviews of Process and Policy audits for the department, executed by both Internal and external auditors.
• Capex procurement projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of procurement processes and category management.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of Biomass contract.
• Manage the complete Source-to-Pay (S2P) cycle, including RFQ issuance, vendor follow-ups, offer evaluation, and purchase order generation.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, oversee GRN preparation, invoice processing, and on-time vendor payments.
• Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, turnaround times, budget utilization, and vendor development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, administration, and operations) to implement Capex projects aligned with annual plans and budgets.
• Effectively handle multiple projects across categories, managing priorities to meet deadlines and operational requirements.
• Foster strong partnerships with suppliers and internal teams to provide consistent operational support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in

  Mechanical engineering or MBA in Operations.

• Experience:

  10+ years in procurement, specifically in Capex.

• Skills & Expertise:

• Experience of leading a team
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) cycle.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM module.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Financial analysis and quantitative skills.
