Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts and prices
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost
  • Forecast procurement needs and maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external procurement policies and regulations
  • Manage and mentor a team of procurement officers or buyers
  • Work closely with the finance and operations teams to manage budgets and reduce costs
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally)
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in vendor management and contract law is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Work
