JOB SUMMARY (Purpose of the job/ Why does this job exist) The Head of Procurement Excellence will lead the Procurement Excellence team operating globally and drive procurement performance through process optimization, implementing advanced technologies, and supporting agile category squads to deliver at pace and scale. This role champions continuous improvement and incorporates risk management, sustainability, and innovation into procurement processes while fostering cross-functional collaboration and adaptability to dynamic market conditions. Essential Areas of ResponsibilityKey Deliverables 1. Leadership and Strategy Lead the Procurement Excellence Team in supporting agile squad operations across global procurement categories. Develop and implement strategies to enhance procurement performance and innovation within the agile framework. 2. Process and Technology Optimization Overse procurement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in alignment with agile principles. Drive the adoption and integration of advanced procurement technologies to support squad needs. 3. Performance Management Establish and monitor KPIs that align with squad objectives and measure procurement performance. Track cost-saving initiatives across procurement categories and work with Squads to maximize the impact. 4. Risk and Compliance Collaborate with Global Category Managers / Supplier Relationship Managers to identify and mitigate procurement risks. Support the agile squads in developing resilient supplier relationships and addressing claims or warranty issues. 5. R&D procurement Oversee R&D specific procurement demand for new development and lead the team which works closely with the R&D team to understand project-specific requirements, suppliers, and timelines Any other specific competencies Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks. Knowledge of procurement regulations (e.g., anti-corruption laws, trade compliance). Strong understanding of procurement workflows, e-sourcing, and contract management tools. Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and automation technologies.Proficiency in procurement software (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or similar).
