As a Procurement Engineer/Sr. Engineer in the Supply Chain & Procurement department of our company, your role involves overseeing the procurement, sourcing, and coordination with suppliers for purchased items in the projects division. Your experience in vendor management, cost-saving, negotiations, and ensuring material availability within project timelines will be crucial for success. Key Responsibilities: - Procurement Management: Manage end-to-end procurement of purchased-out parts such as sensors, controllers, actuators, PLCs, HMIs, cables, control panels, and other automation-related items. - Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, design, and engineering teams to synchronize procurement activities with project requirements and timelines. - Order Processing & Follow-ups: Raise purchase orders (POs), monitor deliveries, and ensure timely availability of materials at project locations. - SAP & MRP Execution: Execute material planning, conversion of PR to PO, inventory management, and procurement monitoring through SAP. - Quality & Compliance: Verify that purchased materials meet specified technical specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations. - Supplier Performance Management: Track supplier performance, lead time compliance, and proactively address supply chain issues. - Cost Optimization & Budget Control: Implement cost-saving efforts and optimize buying strategies while maintaining quality and project timelines. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: MBA + B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. - Experience: 3-4 years of procurement experience in automation-related bought-outs for industrial/process automation projects. - Skills Required: - Hands-on experience of SAP MM module (PR, PO, MRP, inventory). - Developing, negotiating with, and contracting suppliers. - Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Projects, Sales teams. - Knowledge of project-based procurement and lead time management. - Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
