• Priority for the experience as a purchaser / buyer of raw material for precision machined 

components for aerospace/ defense, & Oil & gas industries

 • Candidate should have knowledge about different types of metals (E.g. Alloys, Aluminum, 

Stainless Steel, Exotic Alloy Steel etc.) and different grades of metals. Knowledge of basic 

metallurgy is preferred. 

• Candidates should have knowledge about precision products like pins, fasteners, bushings, 

shafts, springs, and other components of various types of equipment. 

• Candidates should have knowledge about high-strength steel and its different types & grades that can withstand extreme temperatures, corrosive chemicals, dust and dirt, electromagnetic interference (EMI), fire and explosions & humidity and moisture 

• Knowledge of tools and spares required in Tooling, & machine shops of high precision products 

• Strong knowledge of Incoterms 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for researching, selecting, and purchasing quality materials and services at the most 

competitive prices from approved vendors.

 • Negotiate with suppliers and obtain best prices and delivery terms 

• Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders 

• Report weekly purchase order status to management that indicates the vendor invoice number 

for all open and closed purchase orders 

• Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned 

purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products. 

• Ensure quality requirements are complied with by the supplier. Coordinate with Third party 

inspection activities at supplier’s location. 

• Ensure suppliers provide timely goods & services as per the PO commitment/deliverables. 

• Build strong vendor relationships Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related areas.

 • Strong negotiating skills and sourcing capabilities.
