Procurement and Ops Manager

Job Description

We are hiring a dynamic Manager - Procurement and School Operations to drive vendor management, procurement, and school operations across two Delhi Public School institutions, serving 4,200+ students and 200+ staff. Vendor Management The core responsibilities for the job include the following: Identify and evaluate potential vendors and contractors. Source and obtain competitive quotes from multiple vendors. Conduct detailed comparisons on specifications, technical parameters, and pricing. Set vendor performance metrics and streamline vendor evaluation processes. Proactively recommend improvements and infrastructure upgrades. Procurement Lead procurement activities across both institutions. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials and services. Monitor and manage procurement budgets. Ensure timely purchasing, delivery, and alignment with school needs. School Operations Management Manage daily operations, including transport (70+ bus fleet), inventory, housekeeping, and security. Oversee and track inventory across both campuses through ERP. Monitor key operational reports (transport, admissions, etc. ) and drive process improvements. Collaborate with academic and administrative teams for seamless support. Budget And Expense Management Streamline departmental budget submissions and approvals. Ensure efficient expense management in line with financial guidelines. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field. 5+ years' experience in vendor management, procurement, and operations. Strong negotiation, project management, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement software. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and drive operational excellence. Preferred Experience in managing operations in schools or large institutions.
