Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1.1 SPC (Statistical Process Control) & Data Analysis

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and methodologies across Plant.
  • Certified with Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt
  • Analyze production/process data to identify root causes of variation, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Well versed concept with 7QC Tools & implementation
  • Use data analytics and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Sigma Magic etc.) to develop models, perform exploratory data analysis, and predict process outcomes.
  • Assist in establishing process capability studies, measurement system analysis (MSA), and design of experiments (DOE) as required.
  • Support audits and compliance with internal and external quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
  • Apply statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive analytics to support engineering, production, and business decision-making.

1.2 Shift Start-Up Activities

  • Shift handover meeting & quality updates from the previous shift.
  • Conduct a brief meeting with the production team to discuss any quality concerns or updates.
  • Verify that all necessary quality control tools and equipment are calibrated and ready for use.
  • Manpower Deployment & Management.

1.3 Line Audits and IPQC Testing Monitoring

  • Conduct shift audits at each critical process & analyze the issue.
  • Perform routine inspections and tests on solar modules at various stages of production
  • Conduct Soldering Peel Test Sample Collection and test along with BOM verification
  • Verification of Process Parameter of different stages as per MQP
  • Responsible for Gel content test, Adhesion peel test, Wet leakage test, Laminator uniformity & report preparation
  • Tracking of Process trial activity & monitor
  • Conduct different validation tests as per the requirement.

1.4 Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and prevent recurring quality problems & implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Analysis of Top Final EL and Visual Defect & take corrective action
  • Shift wise monitoring of pre-EL slippage defects & take appropriate action.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

1.5 Training & Development

  • Provide training to production/Quality Operator on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Regularly review and update training materials to reflect current standards and practices.

1.6 Documentation

  • All shift reports are maintained & share to concerned stake holder (BOM Report, Soldering Peel Test Report, Measurement Report, Audit Report, JB Sealant fixing Weight Report, JB Potting Ration Report, Frame Sealant Fixing weight, shore hardness report, adhesion report, Frame dimensional report) etc.
