We're Hiring: Prior Authorization Specialist – Provider Side
📍 Location: Hyderabad |
🕒 Full-Time | 🏢 Department: Revenue Cycle / Patient Access / Medical Administration
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 1to 3 years
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Review provider orders and determine services requiring prior authorization.
Submit and track authorization requests with insurance carriers.
Provide supporting clinical documentation for medical necessity.
Follow up on pending authorizations to avoid delays in care.
Collaborate with physicians, scheduling teams, billing, and patients.
Maintain accurate records in EHR systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, etc.).
Appeal denials and ensure compliance with payer guidelines (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid).
Help improve workflow efficiency in the authorization process.
✅ Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or certification in healthcare admin or billing (preferred).
1–3 years of prior authorization or insurance verification experience in a provider setting.
Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, and managed care.
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
Strong understanding of EHR systems and medical terminology.
Attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
