As an American Airlines Tech Hub team member in Hyderabad, India, you will be a part of a dynamic, tech-driven environment where innovation and excellence are at the forefront. Your role will be crucial in shaping the future of travel by tackling complex challenges and pioneering cutting-edge technologies that redefine the travel experience for our diverse customer base. You will be responsible for writing, testing, and documenting technical work products according to organizational standards and practices. Delivering high-quality work and coaching team members on technical craftsmanship will be essential aspects of your role. Conducting root cause analysis to identify systemic problems and defining and leading execution of action items to address them will be a key part of your responsibilities. Designing thoughtfully integrated systems that model organizational best practices, overseeing the management of technical debt, and anticipating and addressing scaling, latency, and durability challenges will be critical in ensuring the success of ongoing implementations. You will also collaborate with the security organization to incorporate security-conscious practices early in the lifecycle of new systems and evaluate technical risks to guide practical prevention strategies. Building and maintaining strong relationships with engineering and product leaders, as well as key vendors, will be essential to capitalize on synergies within related organizations. You will mentor individuals on teams across your span of influence, ensuring alignment on the engineering strategy of their product domain and leading cross-team efforts that advance organizational strategy. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, along with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred, and experience in the airline industry is a plus. You should have proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript/Typescript, as well as frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot and FastAPI. Knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular/React, deployment technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, and source control tools like GitHub and Azure DevOps is required. Experience with data management tools like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, integration/APIs technologies like Kafka, REST, and GraphQL, and cloud providers such as Azure and AWS will also be beneficial. Your ability to optimize solutions for performance, resiliency, and reliability while maintaining simplicity, as well as your proficiency in object-oriented design techniques, Agile methodologies, and DevOps Toolchain methodologies, will be key to your success in this role. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to share responsibilities and introduce innovative solutions will be essential in driving the technical capability of the organization forward.,
