As a Principal SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Manager for PMC for an upcoming infrastructure development project in Gujarat with SYSTRA, your responsibilities include: - **SHE Strategy & Leadership**: - Develop, implement, and manage the overall safety, health, and environmental strategy for the sports infrastructure project. - **Regulatory Compliance**: - Ensure compliance with local, national, and international SHE regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle. - **Policy & Procedure Development**: - Create, update, and communicate SHE policies, procedures, emergency plans, and risk assessments specific to sports infrastructure projects. - **Risk Management**: - Lead SHE risk identification, analysis, and mitigation measures during design, construction, and operational readiness phases. - **Training & Awareness**: - Design and deliver SHE training programs and toolbox talks for project staff, contractors, and site visitors; promote SHE awareness and competency. - **Incident Investigation & Reporting**: - Oversee thorough investigation of safety incidents, near-misses, or non-conformities; prepare reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented. - **Auditing & Inspection**: - Plan and conduct regular SHE inspections, audits, and reviews; ensure findings are addressed promptly. - **Stakeholder Collaboration**: - Engage with clients, authorities, project managers, contractors, and consulting teams to ensure SHE requirements are understood and integrated into all activities. - **Sustainable Implementation**: - Champion environmental stewardship, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainable construction practices. - **Continuous Improvement**: - Collect and analyze SHE performance data; drive continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices across teams. - **Emergency Response**: - Establish and manage emergency preparedness protocols, drills, and crisis response plans for project sites. Your qualifications should include: - Minimum of 12 years of overall experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Large Infrastructure Project. - PG in Construction/Industrial Safety or any equivalent specialization. - Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices. - Relevant experience in Large Infrastructure Project like, Smart Cities/Industrial townships/Residential Townships/Hospitals/SEZ (Special Economic Zone/Public Buildings). - Experience of working as SHE Manager on at least 1 large infrastructure project of value more than Rs. 1000 crores. - Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
