Job Description

Job Title: Principal / Vice Principal
Location: Shalby Academic Institute
Department: Academic Leadership
Reports To: Academic Board / Management

Job Purpose:

To provide academic leadership, administrative direction, and operational oversight of the institute, ensuring excellence in paramedical education, compliance with regulatory standards, and the holistic development of students and faculty.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership & Program Management

  • Design, implement, and monitor high-quality educational programs and curricula.
  • Supervise faculty and students, ensuring academic progress, guidance, and a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage teaching excellence, research initiatives, and publications among faculty and students.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Administrative & Operational Oversight

  • Prepare and administer the institute’s budget while maintaining financial prudence.
  • Lead strategic planning to enhance educational quality, student outcomes, and institutional growth.
  • Oversee daily operations including records, libraries, laboratories, and hostels.
  • Maintain discipline among staff, faculty, and students by implementing policies and corrective actions.

Staff & Faculty Management

  • Lead recruitment, selection, and promotion of academic and administrative staff.
  • Provide opportunities for staff training, development, and empowerment.
  • Establish performance evaluation and appraisal systems for faculty and staff.

External Relations & Partnerships

  • Build and strengthen collaborations with healthcare institutions for student internships, training, and projects.
  • Represent the institute in academic, professional, and community forums.
  • Engage with alumni networks to foster long-term institutional growth and reputation.

  • Strong academic leadership and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a student- and faculty-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of accreditation, compliance, and healthcare education standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate / Doctorate in relevant discipline (Healthcare/Paramedical/Education).
  • 2-6 years of academic/administrative experience.
  • Proven track record in academic governance, faculty management, and student engagement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
