You want more out of a career A place to share your ideas freely ? even if theyre daring or different Where the true you can learn, grow, and thrive At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy We do what we love ? driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins In crisis and in celebration, we come together ? lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up, everywhere & always Want inJoin the #VTeamLife What Youll Be Doing Performing system design and review Establishing code review principles Focusing on improving the performance of the application Building robust flows for several Verizon value brands Mentoring, coaching the team Establishing the processes for Engineering excellence, and operational excellence Where you'll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager What Were Looking For Youll need to have: Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience Six or more experience in implementing Oracle Communication Charging and Billing products, particularly BRM and related products Proven experience as a BRM developer with hands-on expertise in verifying solution integrity through POCs and prototypes Involvement in at least one successful billing transformation project within the telecommunications domain Ability to comprehend requirements and translate them into functional designs Experience in designing price plans (products, discounts, charge share, etc) Proficiency in converting business pricing scenarios into BRM pricing entities Coding knowledge in Java, Golang, or Spring boot services Use AI and ML to identify patterns in invoice disputes and compare contract details with invoice charges for discrepancy detection Develop and customize Oracle BRM applications, including opcode development and configuration for rating, invoicing, and discounts, using PL/SQL and Java Ensure the performance, scalability, and stability of the BRM system, tuning it to handle high-volume data processing Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the BRM system and with AI integrations, ensuring data integrity Work with business analysts and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver AI-powered billing solutions Excellent communication skills Proven experience as an Architect or Senior Designer on at least one large-scale billing transformation or greenfield implementation project Hands-on experience with core BRM modules, including Subscription Management, Rating & Discounting, Billing & Invoicing, Payments, and Collections Experience with BRM customizations using C, Java, and other related technologies Deep domain expertise in the telecom industry, specifically in Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) Deep knowledge of Oracle BRM architecture and components (e-g, BRM 75, BRM 12, BRM Cloud Native) Proficiency in configuring and customizing BRM, including PDC and ECE Strong knowledge of Oracle database, SQL, and PL/SQL Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting (e-g, Shell, Perl, Python) Even better if you have one or more of the following: A masters degree Experience triaging/handling high pressure customer end user/requests Experience with performance tuning, scalability and availability Experience in a DevOps software development environment Experience migrating web applications to Cloud (AWS, Oracle Cloud or Cloud Foundry etc) If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you dont meet every ?even better? qualification listed above Where youll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Equal Employment Opportunity Verizon is an equal opportunity employer We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, gender, disability or any other legally protected characteristics
