Principal Engineer

You will also provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis. **Key Responsibilities:** - Accountable for application development using Python and GenAI, including architecting, designing the technical solution, and leading the implementation. - Collaborate with application teams to integrate solutions with products and platforms, ensuring alignment with technology strategy and business outcomes. - Architect and design reusable services leveraging and integrating frameworks for optimal performance and compatibility. - Perform hands-on coding during prototyping (POC) and implement best practices for maintainable and scalable code. - Serve as a technology point of contact for business partners and provide mentoring to junior programmers and software engineers. - Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure the overall quality of systems. **Qualifications:** - 6+ years of experience with Python and proficiency in design and development using engineering best practices. - Proficient in Python, RESTful API development, cloud platforms (AWS), databases, system design, building data pipelines, Git, CI/CD, and Linux. - Highly experienced in multi-threading, memory management, networking, I/O concepts, and performance aspects of common classes and algorithms. - Familiarity with AI and ML concepts, GenAI optimization techniques, and frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex is desirable. - Skilled in developing scalable and efficient GenAI solutions tailored to requirements. - Familiarity with RAG technologies, LLM frameworks, model registries (Hugging Face), embedding models, and vector databases is desirable. - Excellent understanding of object-oriented design concepts, software development processes, and methods. - Experienced in leading teams, interacting with business partners, and guiding project direction. - Superior organization skills, ability to recognize priorities, and keep the team focused on important features. - Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
