Principal Engineer

Role Overview: You will be a Senior Software Developer at HARMAN HTS, responsible for designing, developing, and debugging software for new and existing products. Your role will involve collaborating with various project stakeholders to ensure implementation meets functional requirements and adheres to R&D standards. Additionally, you will be accountable for the entire life cycle of the code, including support for both internal and external consumers. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within established timelines, following R&D best practices and processes. - Actively involve other project stakeholders to ensure implementation meets functional requirements and R&D standards. - Participate in project scoping, scheduling, and tracking progress of individual tasks. - Ensure quality through functional, unit, and performance testing, working closely with testing and providing thorough reviews of the test plan. - Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of the code, including support for internal and external consumers. - Author appropriate design and technical documentation in collaboration with technical writers. Qualifications Required: - Over 8 years of software development experience using core Java, GoLang, and ReactJS. - Hands-on experience in Core Java, Rest API development, GoLang, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML. - Good understanding of Web UI development, mid-tier development, Docker, Kubernetes, Dockerfiles, and Kubernetes components. - Proficiency in writing clean, testable, and efficient code following secure development guidelines. - Experience with source control management techniques using Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Graddle. - Familiarity with peer reviews, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and cloud deployments. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues as part of support rotations. - Contribution to performance tuning, optimization, and refactoring efforts.
