Principal Engineer

As a Principal Engineer - Civil at Arcadis, you will play a key role in leading technical aspects of water and wastewater capital projects. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects for clients regionally and across the UK. Your responsibilities will include: - Owning and managing day-to-day technical delivery - Overseeing the development of colleagues working on complex projects - Managing the production and verification of analysis and design - Supporting regional teams and clients through technical decision-making process - Developing plans and budgets for projects - Engaging with various Arcadis offices and teams regarding safe design requirements - Resolving technical issues and developing methodologies to add value to projects - Driving a culture of accountability within the team - Engaging in the development of engineering technology and continuous improvement of systems - Collaborating in the development of team training plans and upskilling efforts - Providing design input and coordinating with CAD/BIM staff - Liaising with team members to produce good design solutions - Ensuring compliance with Arcadis business management system - Demonstrating awareness of sustainability best practices and digital strategies - Participating in relevant Communities of Practice Other competencies required for this role include practical experience in Design & Engineering projects in the UK water sector, familiarity with British and international standards, ability to lead complex projects, and health & safety management awareness.
