Principal Cloud Network Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage

  cloud and hybrid cloud network infrastructures

  , ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Design and modernize

  data center (DC)

  network landscapes to align with

  AWS cloud

  strategies.
• Implement secure and efficient

  routing and switching

  protocols (Layer 2/3), including

  BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS

• Maintain deep understanding and operational control of

  IPv4/IPv6 networking

  DMZ zoning

  ,

  VLAN segregation

  load balancing

  technologies.
• Lead the development and deployment of

  network security frameworks

  firewalls, DLP, SIEM

  , and other protective technologies.
• Integrate and automate network functions using

  CI/CD practices

  , including tools such as

  GitLab

  and infrastructure as code.
• Provide expert support to application developers by diagnosing and resolving

  network-related configuration and environment issues

• Mentor and train internal technical teams, fostering knowledge sharing and upskilling in modern networking practices.
• Lead PoCs and strategic decisions around network architecture, performance tuning, and modernization efforts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure cohesive and reliable network design.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience

  in

  network operational support

  , including

  7+ years in large-scale enterprise or carrier environments

  .
• Extensive experience in

  Layer 2/3 switching and advanced routing

  protocols:

  BGP, OSPF, IS-IS

  .
• Proven experience in

  DC architecture

  design and

  hybrid cloud infrastructure

  integration with AWS.
• Strong grasp of the

  OSI model

  routing/switching protocols

  ,

  network segmentation

  Internet traffic security

  .
• Expertise in network zoning,

  load balancers

  ,

  firewalls

  , and

  VLAN configurations

  for secure internal-external segmentation.
• Experience implementing

  principles in cloud environments, particularly with

  Linux

• Familiarity with

  CI/CD pipelines

• Working knowledge of
