Power BI SQL Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power BI Developer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Power BI report development, from data source connection and transformation to the creation of insightful dashboards and KPI scorecards. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, secure business intelligence solutions. Experience in the automotive domain is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
• Develop and implement tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards using Analysis Services.
• Connect to various data sources, import data, and perform data transformation (ETL) processes for effective business intelligence.
• Translate business requirements into informative and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
• Implement robust data security measures, including low-level security within Power BI and an understanding of application security layer models.
• Utilize advanced DAX calculations to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
• Collaborate effectively with client teams and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Power BI development standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Power BI development.

Required Skills:

• Power BI:

   Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related tools.

• Data Modeling:

   Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (tabular and multidimensional) and data warehousing principles.

• DAX:

   Excellent skills in writing complex DAX calculations for data analysis and reporting.

• SQL:

   Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

• JavaScript:

   Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.

• Security:

   Understanding of Power BI security features and application security layer models.

• Analytical Skills:

   Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights.

• Communication Skills:

   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Problem-Solving:

   Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automotive domain data and reporting.
• Experience with data governance and data quality practices.
