Role Name: PostgreSQL DBA

Exp: 4+ years

Work Location: TCS Chennai

Responsibilities

• Understanding the overall DB structure of MSSQL.
• Migration of MSSQL Database (Schema, Tables, Data, Etc) to Postgre SQL Database
• Ensure availability of data through the design, implementation, and practice of database high availability
• Ensure recoverability of data through the design, implementation, and practice of defined database disaster recovery strategies
• Make changes in the Postgre SQL Queries, SP, functions, etc
• Overall Infra has to be taken care
• Troubleshoot, debug and migrate the DB.
• Collaborate with the developers and fix the migration system bugs.
• Solve the most complex and high scale data challenges.
• Expertise in Data Migration Tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex methodologies and results to the technical team.
• Work with business analysts, system architects, software developers, and quality assurance resources to provide consistent data across all applications in support of business objectives.

Essential Skills:

• 4-6 years of experience as Database Migration expert, DB engineer or similar function.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot migration issues and maintain existing systems.
• Experience with SQL Server database technology
• Experience with PostgreSQL Server database technology
• Experience with databases of 1-10TB in size across multiple database platforms
• Knowledge of the Principles & Patterns of Agile Software

Desired Skills:

• MSSQL Database (Schema, Tables, Data, Etc) to Postgre SQL Database Migration

Qualifications

• 15 years of regular education (10th+diploma + Bachelor degree or 12th + diploma or 12th + bachelor degree)
• Candidate should be willing to join on third party payroll and then move to TCS payroll in 6months upon BGV clearance
• Immediate to 30 days joiners are preferred
• Shortlisted candidate will be asked to attend walk-in F2F interview @ TCS Chennai on 24th Jul
