Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems
  • Perform database tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery planning
  • Monitor database performance and proactively address issues
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and access control
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application requirements
  • Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Lead database migration and upgrade projects

Required Skills & Qualification

  • 5- 14 years of experience with PostgreSQL ,including advanced configuration and performance tuning.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with query optimization
  • Deep understanding of database internals, indexing, partitioning, and replication,
  • Experience with tools lik

    e pgAdmin, pgbouncer, Patroni, and WAL

    -
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scriptin
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios
  • Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL deployments (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, GCP Cloud SQL
  • Experience of large size database migration to cloud or onprem using various DB Migration too
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skill
