As an AVP - Markets Legal Global Contract Services Knowledge & Data Team at Barclays in Pune, India, you will be a part of the Markets Legal master agreement negotiation team. Joining the Knowledge & Data Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the broader Global Contract Services Team and internal stakeholders by: - Reviewing final agreements for completeness - Extracting relevant legal and business data points - Assisting with counterparty diligence and execution of master agreements - Managing management information - Storing legal documents in Barclays central document repository Your responsibilities will also include maintaining controls to ensure accurate flow of data elements, regulatory compliance, and meeting Chief Data Office requirements. Additionally, you will handle queries, data analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects efficiently. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Experience in data management, analysis, and document management systems - Proficiency in navigating various IT systems used by the Legal function - Strong organizational and communication skills - Openness to flexible work hours - Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint - A Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) is preferred Your primary purpose will be to ensure operational compliance with laws and regulations while managing legal and reputational risks. Your accountabilities will involve developing legal strategies, providing legal advice and support, representation in legal proceedings, document review, legal research, and training programs. As an AVP, you are expected to advise, influence decision making, and lead a team to deliver impactful work.
