Portfolio Manager

As a Portfolio Manager in the Mid-Market Group (MMG) at a leading Bank located in Chennai, your primary responsibility will be to manage and expand a portfolio of MMG clients by acquiring new accounts and retaining existing relationships. You will be expected to identify client needs and provide tailored banking solutions spanning assets, liabilities, trade finance, and treasury products. Additionally, you will be required to perform financial and credit analysis for lending proposals and ensure the timely renewal and review of credit limits while adhering to internal policies, credit guidelines, and regulatory norms. It will also be part of your duties to engage in cross-selling bank products and services to optimize wallet share, uphold high service standards to elevate client satisfaction and loyalty, and produce regular management information system (MIS) reports on portfolio performance and business pipeline. To qualify for this role, you should hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (an MBA/CA is preferred) and possess at least 5 years of banking experience, with a preference for exposure to the MMG, Corporate, or SME segment. Your success in this position will hinge on your strong grasp of credit appraisal, trade finance, and banking products, excellent skills in relationship management, negotiation, and communication, a proven track record of meeting business targets and effectively managing risk, an analytical mindset with proficiency in financial statement analysis, and a solid understanding of RBI regulations and compliance requirements.,
