Roles & Responsibilities
Designing plumbing systems for new construction projects such as residential homes and commercial buildings
• Performing inspections to ensure that building plans meet local codes and regulations
* Preparing estimates for costs related to the project and developing a budget for the client
• Coordinating the work of other engineers and architects on large projects
* Consulting with clients about their needs and providing them with advice about how to address them
* Ensuring compliance with state and federal building codes for plumbing systems in all types of buildings
* Developing and maintaining a database of drawings and specifications of plumbing systems and structures
* Providing technical support to contractors during construction projects
* Supervising the installation of plumbing systems, including fixtures, piping, and wiring
