Plumbing Design Specialist

Job Overview

Plumbing and Firefighting team lead responsible for design review and deliverables.

Should have an excellent understanding of PHE & FPS services from concept to commissioning

To coordinate with external consultants and ensure accurate, error free deliverables are issued as per SOPs laid by the department aligning to the design brief.

Key Responsibilities

1. Checking the conformity of Provident Standards and Specifications fine tuning MEP design and project DBR based on past experiences and projects.

2. Following up with liaison, architects, authorities and various consultants to get MOEF /PCB /BWSSB & sanction for the projects.

3. To represent MOEF/ SEAC presentation to get Noc required.

4. Checking the correctness of sanction drawings and coordinating with consultants.

5. Review of water calculations, water balance, fire and life safety requirements as per NBC and working drawing with respect to MOEF & statutory drawings.

6. Co-ordination with external architects, MEP consultants, contactors, interior consultants & site to get drawings in time schedule.

7. Checking the correctness of drawings, design from MEP consultants for accuracy and adequacy. Efficient design and comparison of different systems in terms of efficiency, cost and ROI

and give clearances for good for construction drawings and BOQ & to receive sufficient copies as per ISO. The various drawings required for the below mentioned works

a. Public health engineering, fire alarm and Fire protection , Landscape irrigation , Interiors., and Vendor shop drawings.

8. Issual of good for construction dwgs to various departments & site as per ISO procedures.

9. Preparation of MEP Spatial of new sites with presentations & drawings.

10. Coordinate for preparation of MEP drawings for Clubhouse house with interiors design intent & drawings for execution for some projects.

11. MEP Material and equipment selection and to get approval from concerned.

12. Coordinate for preparation of Landscape irrigation drawings & details to suit to Sital requirements.

13. Preparation of MEP Technical specification and to get approval from management & issual to various departments for execution.

15. To attend weekly site visits to solve all design issues & site queries.

16. To inspect & approve MEP equipment’s design samples and details along with consultants.

17. Prepare RFI for MEP consultant appointment and Certifying consultants bill upon completion of various drawing stages.

18. Documentation of all the drawings & other documents as per ISO procedures.

19. Perform any other duties related to the nature of these functions.

20. Suggest optimization of design to save costs

Qualifications

Education

Minimum - B. Tech/B.E. in Plumbing and Fire fighting - 15 years and above experience in high-rise buildings
