Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Playwright - Test Engineer. The Playwright - Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, performing test executions, and conducting functional testing. The individual will work closely with the development and product teams to ensure the quality and performance of software applications.


Key Responsibilities:

Automated Testing:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.
  • Continuously improve test automation frameworks and tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Manual Testing:

  • Perform thorough manual testing to identify software defects and ensure functionality meets business requirements.
  • Create detailed test cases and execute them for various software applications.
  • Conduct regression testing, usability testing, and exploratory testing as needed.
  • Document and track defects using issue tracking tools, following up with developers for resolution.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the design of test plans.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback to stakeholders regarding product quality and any identified issues.
  • Participate in review meetings and provide insights and recommendations for improving software quality.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in testing and quality assurance.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA engineer with expertise in both automated (Playwright) and manual testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with other automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Experience in performance testing tools and techniques is an advantage.
