We're looking for a Platform Engineer to be the first DevOps hire in our engineering team. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role where you will design, build, and own the platform that powers our product from infrastructure to CI/CD to observability and compliance security controls. Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure across AWS (and selectively GCP/Azure where required).
Define and enforce CI/CD best practices for faster and safer deployments.
Build Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and maintain environment parity across dev, staging prod.
Manage and optimise our container orchestration platforms (Docker/ECS/EKS/K8S).
Implement and evolve our monitoring, logging, and alerting stack (Prometheus / Grafana / ELK / CloudWatch).
Lead incident response playbooks, rollout safety, and rollback strategies.
Own the platform controls required for SOC2 HIPAA, and security/compliance posture (access controls, audit logs, baseline config).
Partner closely with Backend & QA teams on performance, reliability, and deployment workflows.
Mentor engineers and help shape platform engineering culture as we scale.

Requirements

6+ years of professional experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering.
Deep hands-on experience with AWS (EC2 S3 VPC, RDS, IAM, ECS/EKS, VPNs, etc. ).
Strong proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure configuration patterns.
Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins / Argo / CircleCI).
Solid experience with Docker and container orchestration.
Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus / Grafana / ELK / CloudWatch).
A security-first mindset, least privilege, secrets management, and network segmentation.
Ability to debug complex, multi-layered systems under pressure, calm during an incident.
Comfortable in fast-changing, high-ownership, startup environments.
B. Tech / B. E / M. Tech. /equivalent in Computer Science (or strong practical track record).
Exposure to SOC2 / HIPAA / ISO27001 (but we don't expect you to be an auditor; we expect you to maintain infra controls).
Experience tuning cloud costs and usage patterns.
Kubernetes experience at moderate scale.
