Plantation Manager

Purpose of the job

To oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a 500-acre coffee and cardamom

plantation, ensuring high productivity, quality standards, efficient labor management,

compliance with statutory requirements, and sustainable farming practices

Key Accountabilities/Duties & Responsibilities

• Plantation Management
• Supervise all agricultural activities, including planting, nurturing, harvesting, and post-

harvest processes for coffee and cardamom.

• Monitor crop health, pest and disease control measures, and ensure optimal irrigation

practices.

• Implement sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural techniques.
• Labor Mobilization
• Plan and manage daily labor schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Lead and train workers on best practices for cultivation and processing.
• Address and resolve labor-related issues promptly.
• Statutory Compliance
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain documentation and reports for audits and inspections.

• Manage the inventory of fertilizers, pesticides, equipment, and other resources.
• Plan and oversee irrigation systems to optimize water usage and efficiency.
• Data Recording & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of plantation activities, crop performance, and resource

utilization.

• Prepare detailed reports for management.

Bachelors degree/diploma in Agriculture,

Horticulture, or a related field.

• Experience: 6-10 years in managing large-

scale plantations, preferably coffee and

cardamom.:

Knowledge of organic/Inorganic farming

techniques.

• Experience with mechanization and

modern farming equipment.

• Ability to analyze and improve farming

operations for increased profitability.
