Job Description

position to liaison with Plantation Manager and workers. Need to be through in Plantation crops such as Coffee, Tea, Cardamom and other minor crops. Purpose of the job To oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a 500-acre coffee and cardamom plantation, ensuring high productivity, quality standards, efficient labor management, compliance with statutory requirements, and sustainable farming practices Key Accountabilities/Duties & Responsibilities • Plantation Management • Supervise all agricultural activities, including planting, nurturing, harvesting, and post-harvest processes for coffee and cardamom. • Monitor crop health, pest and disease control measures, and ensure optimal irrigation practices. • Implement sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural techniques. • Labor Mobilization • Plan and manage daily labor schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks. • Lead and train workers on best practices for cultivation and processing. • Address and resolve labor-related issues promptly. • Statutory Compliance • Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, and other statutory requirements. • Maintain documentation and reports for audits and inspections. • Resource & Irrigation Management • Manage the inventory of fertilizers, pesticides, equipment, and other resources. • Plan and oversee irrigation systems to optimize water usage and efficiency. • Data Recording & Reporting • Maintain accurate records of plantation activities, crop performance, and resource utilization. • Prepare detailed reports for management regarding yield, quality, and operational progress. Knowledge of organic/Inorganic farming techniques. • Experience with mechanization and modern farming equipment. • Ability to analyze and improve farming operations for increased profitability. Spoken and written proficiency in Tamil.
